Welcome to Life School Collective

Services for your well-being and personal performance goals

designed for individuals, teams and organizations

Casey Marin founded Life School Collective (LSC) in 2021. LSC came to be as a result of the overwhelmingly positive response to Casey’s teaching methods and personal approach to teacher-student interactions. He taught, and continues to teach, Social Science classes in both middle and high school. While teaching, Casey leads “Community Circle” sessions; open problem-solving discussions where students are able to share and help each other while receiving his input and guidance. Casey’s Community Circle guidelines include:

1.) Speak from the heart: speak your truth, instead of saying what you believe others will accept

2.) Listen from the heart: learn to listen objectively, while removing one’s biases

3.) Don’t rehearse: trust that you’ll know what to say when it is your turn to speak

4.) Say just enough: speak your thoughts and give others a chance

Community Circle was so popular with students that after-school sessions were added for other students. Teachers, parents, and administrators requested to join these group sessions and Casey was asked to provide training sessions for the other teachers in his school. Living the guidelines above, Casey found that these same skills apply to anyone who is seeking to improve their life from the ground up. With these lessons, those who wish to pursue their goals with purpose will develop more positive thinking, better cope with stress, become more resilient, and learn how to regulate their emotions in the face of challenges. The information and strategies provided in this program create a happiness and “well-being” factor that is powerfully beneficial to anyone who uses them. Casey’s scope of instruction and training now includes public speaking engagements, parenting seminars, life-skills training, performance consulting, sports performance coaching and mindfulness-based stress reduction strategies. Casey is passionate about sports, music, the outdoors and spending time with his wife and two children.

As an educator…

After many years of teaching, Casey has come to the conclusion that our educational system is limited. The current educational focus is strictly academic, with standardized test scores and grades as the golden benchmark for success. While this content is essential for living in the world, just as essential is one’s emotional well-being. Central to the mission of LSC, in order to see true emotional well-being come to fruitition, certain life skills are needed to achieve a sense of health, pieces of life that arise mainly from our thoughts and emotions, actions and experiences. While these skills are just as essential for surviving in the world, reformation is a slow and cumbersome process - LSC provides essential ingredients for the success of the whole child and in order for true well-being to be possible, it also supports the success and well-being of educators, administrators and the broader community alike.
